We’re Testing Ethanol & IPA for Hand Sanitizer Formulations
Our formulators and scientists are analyzing denaturants including ethanol and isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for hand sanitizers. Specifically, they’re analyzing these raw materials to ensure they meet food-grade standards and comply with FDA’s Alcohol for Incorporation Into Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizer Products During the Public Health Emergency (COVID-9) guidance, which was released in March 2020.
We’re Supporting Businesses Converting Manufacturing Processes to Produce Much-Needed Products
Avomeen’s scientists are partnering with entrepreneurs and established businesses who are modifying their manufacturing processes and facilities to produce much-products that are in short supply. This includes alcohol content testing of batches of hand sanitizer produced at a manufacturing facility that re-fitted their entire production line to manufacture hand sanitizer to meet the needs of healthcare workers, first responders, hospitals, and the like.
Our Pharmaceutical Scientists are Testing Hydroxychloroquine
Hydroxychloroquine has gotten a lot of attention as a potential therapy for those who are battling COVID-19. Our pharmaceutical sciences division is diligently performing testing on an injectable, liquid form of the drug.
Our Biologics Team is Developing a Serology Assay for COVID-19 Antibody Testing
Our dedicated biologics team is working to develop a serology assay for COVID-19 antibodies. The scope of work includes a prototype assay, method of assay, and assay validation. We expect to have the first prototype of the antibody test in mid-May.
